At present, the main enterprises of drive axle in China have different advantages; they are competing fiercely surrounding the single-stage and double-stage drive axle market.

1. Double-Stage Axle Market
In China, the truck axle is developing toward heavy-duty, starting from the original 10t class punching-welded axle, which is known as 153 Rear Axle or 435 Axle because they were mainly equipped in truck Dongfeng EQ150 at the very beginning. Then the hub reduction double stage axle, 450 and 457 Axle with axle load of 13t gradually became the market hot. At present, the drive double-stage axle with axle load of 13t is being used extensively in domestic market.

2. Single-stage Axle Market
With the increasing of highway mileage, the booming of logistics industry, the speed of transport vehicle becomes faster and faster, the weaknesses of hub reduction double stage axle are exposed: complicated structure, high manufacturing cost, liable to get hot at high speed and high oil consumption. On the contrary, the advantages of single-stage axle are obvious.

With the increasing market demand of single-stage axle, many OEMs and vehicle axle manufacturers began to develop single-stage axle to meet market demand since the second half of 2008. Guangxi Fangsheng Group has developed high torque single-stage reduction rear axle by analyzing the technology of heavy-duty truck axle and combining the demands of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co. , Ltd and Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. etc OEMs.

Experts predict that the single-stage axle will become the main axle equipped for the medium, long distance logistics transportation vehicle, 75% of drive axles in domestic heavy-duty vehicle will be single-stage axle.
